Hahaha. I just learned the word "poetaster", today.
Ever watch a movie where the hero gets this inspiration determination, and some kick ass music starts playing, and five minutes of scene switching later he's fully prepared, with only the final battle waiting in front of him? Yeah, I get those moments all the time. Five minutes later (usually without music and cameras), I'm still daydreaming. And it's usually at night (and usually in the shower). So I think, "Yeah, tomorrow, I'm definitely going to work toward this thing (while usually drawing on the shower doors with my finger and generally wasting water)"...and then play video games. :D

And so we have a new president. The Lord bless him with a wise heart to fully carry out His will. Praise the Lord.
Romans 13:1 AMP
"Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God [by His permission, His sanction], and those that exist do so by God's appointment."

I had another poem, just now -- something obviously wanted to come out. :) I kept
this one, though. :D Praise the Lord. :D

I had another poem, just now, but then I trashed it. Yes, I'm allowed to do that. :)

A week later (a grand total of...a couple hours work :P ), I have
this.
20081013
Weeeeee. I've been playing with this other picture I drew in church, a few weeks ago, but I'm still not finished with it. What? Yeah, I know, something else I started and haven't finished, yet. I know, I know, I know. I did finish
this about an hour ago, though. :D

Alright. I repaired (I do believe) all the links in my log, and I even added images to the links on the "links" page. Yeah. Really. No, I'm not lying to you. Go see for yourself. :P Actually, it was pretty fun making all those 50x50 icons, even though I mostly just cropped and resized them. :D Funny, how most of my logs come about when I restructure the site. I just deleted something I thought was hilarious but probably wouldn't sit too well many persons. :D

Hehe, it's kind of sad--every (nearly) time I go to use my tablet, I have to clean the thing off because it's always that long between the moments that I use it. That, and this house seems to get dusty really quickly.

Alrighty, I believe I have most of it; so, time to upload it and work out whatever kinks there may be. I still haven't revived all the dead links in the archives. Later.
Yeap, there were a few kinks, and some things I completely forgot to do... :) It has also come to my attention that the colors on my monitor might be wack. When I put them together here (on my computer), they look pretty good. BUT, when I was viewing it on my dad's computer, they looked rather dull. I'm using LCD, him CRT. It's possible that I've got my moniter angled funny--that does change the colors QUITE a bit. Or, maybe his colors are messed up. Two is not a good sample--remember that the next time you're eating fresh cookies. :D
Alright, that's enough for now. I tested it in Firefox 3 (which I wholly prefer) and IE6 (which I don't) and the layout is *essentially* the same betweem them. IE6 doesn't treat borders the same way, so it's a little off there. Not anything I care to fool with, now. I'll likely continue to bit twiddle in the coming whatevers. :p :)

Gather 'round, children, as Joshua tells you a story about a man, a woman, and a certain amphibian. It was a dark and not so stormy night...
Anyway, I was in my room, downloading some
Stepmania songs, when my sister comes into my room, beckoning me into the kitchen. As I enter said kitchen, I notice what looks like a hairball on the floor. Nope, it was a frog.

[A picture would be nice, here.]
(Actually, as things go, my sister and I didn't think to document the whole thing until after we re-released the frog into the wild.)
My sister and I stared at it for a moment, hoping the cat didn't have anything to do with it (she didn't). The frog was plumb rough looking. I mean BEAT. Covered in hair and spiderwebs and grass and dirt. I picked the little creature up and set him on a saucer. He didn't budge--didn't care a wink that I was man-handling him. I ran the faucet a little bit and let some warm water onto the plate.

[Exhibit A: A neanderthal examination.]
(Seriously, though, I was walking through the woods the other day and family of sasquatch starting pointing at me and taking pictures. How embarrasing, right? :) )
Like I said, I put the frog on a plate and put warm water into the plate. I also gave it a nice little wave effect by tilting the plate in a circle. Hey, I mean, I like the feeling of waves beating against my body. :) I changed out the water several times, trying to keep it warm for the little guy. After a while, the light starting coming back to his eyes. I starting removing the hair from his body. He was quite wound up in it. I mean, it covered him like a sheath. Some of it was even tied in knots, and my sister gave me some scissors so that I could perform my doctorly abilities. :)

[Exhibit B: A frog feeling a bit under the weather.]
(I tried to tempt him with some fish food--that's the green and red blotches.)
I got most of the stuff off of him. His left arm/hand was still bound fairly well, but he perked up real good. REAL good. He started hopping all over the place. Did a few kamikaze leaps into the sink. Jumped into the side where all the dirty forks and knives were. Tried to jump down the drain. A full recovery, we agreed. It was time to let him return home. We went outside and I set him down by the hedge. We went back inside, quite satisfied. :)

[Images in mirror are closer than they appear.]
Praise Jesus.

Told you. :) Man, I even went back and converted my archives to this new format. It wasn't long or hard since I didn't write much, but I can constantly see what I've learned since then. :D

I finally redesigned my site, this site: SuperJoshua.com. Yeap. It's not near as ambitious as it used to be; yet, it doesn't look like it was designed by a college-level Math teacher, either. :) I like it, anyway. By the way, that blue background color (#205060) is the same color I use on my desktop. Really, really.
I really rearranged the file structure of the sight and simplified (and consolidated) several of its folders. I turned all the poetry pages into HTML (from PHP) to distiguish them from the rest of the site (actually, I know it will be easier to maintain them, if I decide to do this again, if they DON'T carry the same theme as the rest of the site :D).
I added some new (real old) content, here and there. You'll just have to look for it. :P :)
Truthfully, I'm typing all this stuff without having finished it all. In fact, I plan to write another log entry before this stuff is even uploaded. Man, this is almost like a real log. :D
How many times did I say "real" today? I'm also going to change a (default) shortcut in
PSPad (the excellent text editor that I'm using--and recommend), because [shift][i][space] keeps popping up a window about italics. Yeah. Really.

I made
this for my brother, Brian, for his birthday, today.

Simplifying...
20080807
Hello and welcome back to another exciting month of...month. :D I just realized a rather dumb mistake I made with my (highly limited understanding of) PHP. And, while it was only a small error, I made it on every PHP page of mine...several times. Hehe. And, what I initially thought would turn out to be an hour (or more) of work, actually (Praise the Lord!), took me less than three minutes. Earth minutes. Yes, even on dial-up. :) I'll say it, again: Praise the Lord!
20080625
Got rid of some dead links. Yeap--hedge trimming. About time, really. Planted some new links, too. Some were replacements. I'm purposely being moderately cryptic. Because I enjoy it. :)

Psalms 42:11 AMP
Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.
20080620
Psalms 24:17 AMP
Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.
Later that day...
Psalms 33:10-11 AMP
The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nought; He makes the thoughts and plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart through all generations.

What to say, what to say. I reorganized my archives. It was easy and now there're less pages. Yay. :)

My sister came home from Thailand, today, and brought me some interesting pants. I went looking for a specific name for them and I found this:
Thai Wrap Drive In Pants. A little lower it says, "Drive In fishermans pants". Maybe the full name is "Thai Wrap Drive In Fishermans Pants". I'm only joking, though. They may not be, but I am. :) Mine're black with an interesting pattern. Comfy, too. I highly recommend them to my fellows that would rather run around naked. Really. :) They're also fun to pretend Kung Fu in. Thanks, terd.
Also, I've uploaded a couple old manipulations:
JoshAwe and
MisterJoshua. Enjoy--I know I did. :D

Psalms 30:11-12 AMP
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, to the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

I think my cat knows she is pretty--and she is so good at it. "Pet Meeeeee", says the cat. I -- "Pet Meeeeee", says the cat. Can't -- "Pet Meeeee", says the cat. Resist..."Pet--". /pets the cat...a lot. /hears many gratified (and gratifying) sounds. /thinks that petting that cat is well worth it. :)

Wow, now
that's an odd poem. I decided to chronologically order my poems, too (as best I could with what dates I had). Yay. :) Oh, I highly recommend the "FireFTP" extension for the recommended "Mozilla Firefox". No, I'm not paid or otherwise coerced to say that. It's late, however, and I'm thinking it. Yay. :) I have the greatest respect for Stevie Wonder and his song, "My Cherie Amour". No doubt it takes a blind man to see (John 9:39). :)
20080402
I'm working hard, boys and girls--HARD working (about an hour a day). I mean, the sweat is POURING from my brow (because it's hot in my room). And WHAT am I doing, you ask? Well, something SO awesome that even novice programmers would laugh at me. But, hey, humility comes before honor (Proverbs 15:33; 18:12). :) Oh, I also uploaded a couple more old poems. Wee. Hehe.
20080105
Great, now I have to remember to continue writing "2008". Hehe. :)
