So, I was on myspace.com, recently, and I happened upon an old schoolmate of my mine. On seeing this picture of hers, I immediately thought "Cherokee." Why? Cherokee! Well, maybe, we see things differently... Anyway, that's what I went to work on.
Manipulation.
It isn't the first time she's been under my power. Oh, nonono. Back in 2003 I did my first manipulation of one of her pictures. We were attending the same "Digital Publishing" class and, as the teacher mandated, we all had our pictures taken for that class. One easy-going day (which most of them were, save the day or three that I decided to catch up on a week [or weeks] of work--Hehehehe), I was looking through the pictures of the students in the class and I happened upon the one of this fine woman. She was wearing, I believe, a pentagram on her neckless. I went to work. I replaced the previous emblem with that of the Christian cross. I thought that it was great, and so did my friend, Christopher Michael Snowden, who printed the picture and showed it to her. True story. :)
This isn't the final product, but I felt I should put it here, by itself. I had something quite different planned--something smoother with red war-paint. That, obviously, did not happen! Rarely do they end up quite like I first imagine them, however. That's "Rarely" with a capital "R." :)
Next is what I had in mind after I reconfigured my original idea.
I like it! :D It's quite rough, with all the pixilidity goodness you could or could not want. :) Like I said, I wanted to make it smoother--and I tried several attempts--but I left it raw. RAW. RAAAWRRR! Umm...if you're looking for something a little more silly...here.
